Massive Overhaul Version 2.0 Released!


Version 2.0 Changes

  • Minimap in bottom right that shows enemies and trees
    • This helps you make sure you don't get snuck up on >:)
  • New name (game was previously Hammer Time!)
  • Complete Rework of waves
    • Old waves felt too slow, now the first two waves are only grunt enemies, and every next wave has more and more boss enemies
    • Upgrades now appear after every wave, starting from the second wave
  • Dynamic Jump size!
    • Jump for as long as you hold the space bar down
  • Grappling hook rework
    • Grappling hook now tracks to enemy you grappled to, rather than their location at the time of grapple
  • Made heart drop rate decrease as waves increase
    • This way hearts don't become too easy to get
  • Made adding health give you +2 max health instead of +1
  • Added random size variation to boss enemies
  • Removed Grapple Speed upgrade
    • It didn't actually work, whoops
  • Increased hammer cooldown
    • Spamming the hammer led to broken gameplay
  • Made red enemies also explode after being hit with a high speed when hitting the invisible walls
  • Added Linux and MacOS Support, removed WebGL support
    • WebGL had many issues such as being slow and having an extremely sensitive mouse. It was an inferior way to play the game so I made native builds for each major OS instead.

Minor Changes:

  • Made high score update each time a new high score is reached 
  • Added snazzy intro logo for Rainy Elephant Studios
  • Added neat little button that links to my itch page
  • Custom button graphics :D
